A great way to still be able to enjoy things, like burgers and spaghetti, is to substitute ground turkey for ground beef. You may notice some differences in taste, but there are some simple solutions until you get used to the change. You can add olive oil and chopped onions to enhance the flavor and make your turkey more moist. That way, you enjoy the same great flavor you’re used to while eating healthier.

TIP! It is important to consume protein daily. Your skin, muscles, internal organs and blood flow will all benefit from a healthy daily dose of protein.

Replace half the amount of sugary drinks you consume each day with plain water or tea. You can unknowingly consume tons of calories when you drink sugary drinks. Watch your total to see if you’re overdoing it.

Don’t reward your children with food. Instead of rewarding them with sugary snacks, shower them with love and encouragement. Your child will connect the sweet treats with positive feelings, and so will start to think of those things as the best kind of foods.

Egg Whites

TIP! You need to use your calorie allowance on good, healthy foods. Eating 1,800 calories of healthy fruits, vegetables, and whole grains will make you feel much better than eating 1,800 calories of cake, ice cream, and donuts.

Women who are pregnant or lactating have important nutritional needs. When a woman is pregnant, it is very important that they get enough protien. This can be a hard task because pregnancy will make many women not feel like not eating at all. However, a fresh fruit smoothie with two or three egg whites blended into the mix can make a delicious breakfast that will provide Mother with the protein that she needs to keep both herself and her baby healthy. Eggs provide 3 grams of high quality protein at a low 15 calories per egg white. There is no fat, so egg whites are ideal for pregnant women. Be sure that you only use pasteurized eggs.

Change to another type of milk. Milk differs in the percentage of fat, but they all contain the same level of nutrients. Switch over to lower-fat versions to keep the same nutrition values without the excess fat calories.
